About the School
The Iringa International School was started in 1993 by a group of expatriate and local parents in Iringa to provide a sound education of international standard for their children in the Southern Highlands region of Tanzania. It is a parent-owned, non-profit-making school run by a Board of Management elected annually from among the body of parents.
The Iringa International School started as a Primary School with 12 students and two full-time teachers, and has since added on a Pre-School, Middle School 'O' levels (Key Stages 1-4) and boarding facilities. IIS has been authorized as an official Cambridge International Examinations Centre. Curretnly we offer IGCSE level exams, and plan to go on to 'A' levels and IB in stages.
