Thank you for visiting the Iringa International School (IIS) website! We are a co-educational community-led, English-medium school in the picturesque Southern Highlands of Tanzania, in East Africa, offering a world-class education for children from pre school to A level.

IIS is an official Cambridge University International Examination Centre (CIE). IIS is also a member of the Association of International Schools of Africa (AISA).Iringa International School is a candidate school* for the Primary Years Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education—that we believe is important for our students. We are applying for authorization this year 2011-12.

Congratulations to our 2011 IGCSE students, all of whom received the "ICE" - International Certificate of Education, the majority with Merit. A*s were earned in geography and Swahili.

* Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) or the Diploma Programme (and in addition the IB Career-related Certificate). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
